Meet Tony S. Shen, MD
Dr. Shen is an orthopedic surgeon at Hospital for Special Surgery, specializing in hip and knee reconstruction. He performs total hip, total knee, and partial knee replacements using robotic technology and computer navigation to ensure optimal alignment and outcomes. Dr. Shen uses modern minimally invasive surgical techniques, tailoring each procedure to each patient’s anatomy and lifestyle.
A graduate of Harvard University and Washington University School of Medicine, Dr. Shen completed his orthopedic surgery residency and fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at HSS. His training also includes international experience in leading orthopedic centers across Europe, Asia, and Australia, giving him a global perspective on surgical innovation and patient care.
Dr. Shen’s research focuses on personalized medicine in joint replacement, rapid recovery after surgery, and technological advances in surgical precision. His work has been published in top orthopedic journals and presented internationally.
